そして、Hénin氏により、やはり同じ場所で拘束されていたと
証言されている イギリス人ジャーナリスト
John Cantlie ( ジョン・キャントリー )氏は
プロパガンダ動画 「 Lend Me Your Ears ( 耳を貸して下さい )」に
続けて出演し、10月25日に公開された「エピソード5」では、
「テロリストとは交渉しない」政策をとっている国も
水面下で交渉をおこない、その結果、
デンマークやドイツの「人質」たちは解放されたが
アメリカ政府と英国政府は何もしていないし
人質の家族や友人たちの救出活動の支援もしていない
と、その前のエピソードに引き続き失望をあらわにしています。
(Cantlie氏の家族は、政府は支援も救出努力もしていると、否定)

上のリンクにもある「エピソード3」で、Cantlie氏が
「2年間も人質を放っておいて何もしなかったくせに
人質が殺されたら今度は、それを大義名分に使う」
というようなことをおっしゃっているのですが、
下にリンクしたジャパン・タイムズの記事によると
後藤健二さんのご夫人によると拘束されたのち、先月
身代金の要求があったということ。
それ以降、なんらかの「水面下での交渉」の試みや
確実な現地情報収集は、なされていたのでしょうか？
もし、殆ど、あるいは、全くなされていなかったのでしたら、
動画で72時間などと脅迫されて大騒ぎになることに
「今さら感」は、否めませんし、結局
政府だけでなく、反政府側も含めた、あらゆる方面によって
「大義名分」として使われるだけなのかもしれません…。

いつから数えて72時間なのか、、、って、、、
拘束されたのが去年、身代金の要求が来たのが先月、、
で、今さら、いつから72時間も、へったくれもございません。

それから
2億ドルを日本政府が身代金として払うなど
ISISだって考えてもいないでしょうし
身代金要求は、単なるプロパガンダと申しますか
わざわざ「絶対できないであろうことを要求」して
それを「理由」にする…という方法なのではないでしょうか。

「テロとの戦争」と言われて久しいですが
戦争相手の情報収集と交渉手段の確保は不可欠なはず。
日本政府、外務省は、
はたして、どこまで把握しているのか、
どの程度のことまで出来るのか、、、
こちらも、今さら感があります…。

Wife of Goto received ransom email from Islamic State in December

The wife of Kenji Goto, identified Wednesday as one of the two Japanese hostages held by the Islamic State group, received an email on her mobile phone in December demanding a ransom of more than ¥2 billion, government sources said Wednesday.

The freelance journalist’s wife first received an email in November from an unidentified party saying that it had captured Goto, according to the sources. His wife exchanged several emails with the party, but the messages did not include threats to kill Goto.

The sources said the government believes the emails were from the Islamic State group, since the address the messages were sent from resembles one used by the group in past hostage cases.

リポーターとしてMosulの街を紹介しています。
後藤健二さんたちが、Cantlieさんのように、
まだISISにとって利用価値がある、と
なんとか生きのびていただければ…と願ってやみません。

身代金について批判の嵐は起きるでしょうし
さらに「自己責任」嵐の的にもなることは十分予測されます。

先日、ISISではない別の過激派集団からイタリア人エイドワーカー
Vanessa Marzullo ヴァネッサ・マルツゥロさんと
Greta Ramelli グレタ・ラメリさんが救出されましたが
身代金についてだけではなく、
自身の拘束者と合意の上で性行為をもったのではないかと言われ、
皮肉りツイートをした政治家Maurizo Gasparri氏は大批判を浴び
「#GasparrioffTwitter ガスパリをツイッター界から追放しろタグ」をつけられていました。
