Last Year, Kenji Goto waited almost one week on the Turkish-Syrian border crossings looking patiently for an opportunity to get in Syria to report on Aleppo’s suffering under barrel bombs.
Today, he’s a hostage at ISIS hands…and we’re all hope to see him soon!
Activists and media specialists – some of them were trained by Kenj – staged a ‪#‎candelightVigil‬ in ‪#‎Aleppo‬ in solidarity with him.
Sitting on the ground by this cold evening to tell Kenji’s family and friends: We in Aleppo (Syria) do not forget our friends and those who help us. I AM KENJI Simply, on the ground with candels, with a real hope to see Kenji recovering his freedom very soon, so he can go back to his family and comes back to see us when he can.

【拙訳 ( 意訳 ) 】
去年、後藤健二さんは、トルコ・シリアの国境で
barrel bombs ( 樽爆弾、樽に火薬と金属片などをつめた焼夷弾 ) で
苦しむアレッポの様子を取材するために
なんとかシリアに入国できないかと辛抱強く機会をうかがいながら
一週間近くも待ち続けた。
今日、彼は、人質として、ISISの手中にある…
そして、私達は、皆、彼との再会を願っている。
#Aleppo ( アレッポ ) で、
彼と心を共にした#candelightVigil ( 夜通しロウソクを灯す集会) を
おこなった活動家とメディア・スペシャリストの中には
健二さんから手ほどきを受けた者もいる。
この寒い夕べ、地べたに座って、
健二さんのご家族とご友人達に伝えるために、
我々、シリアのアレッポでは、
友人そして我々を助けてくれた恩人を
忘れないと、そう、I AM KENJI なのだと、
地面にロウソクを並べる。
本当に希望を抱いているのだ。もうすぐ、
健二さんは、自由を取り戻して、ご家族の元へ戻れると、
そして、いつか私達にも会いに戻って来れるようになると。
